The Story
Born from love — and a very long night.
In 2013, Cheryl Cohen was caring for her father, who had Alzheimer’s disease. One night, sitting with him through his confusion and fear, she realized something: she was completely alone in it. There were no resources, no community, no one who understood.
Out of that loneliness — and out of her faith — the Kaleidoscope was born. What started as a small gathering of caregivers at Abundant Life has grown into a ministry serving over 1,200 individuals across four counties in northern New Jersey.

Speaker Nights
Monthly evenings featuring expert speakers on dementia care topics. Open to all, free of charge. Held the first Sunday of each month at Abundant Life.
Connection Cafés
Relaxed monthly gatherings for those living with dementia and their care partners — a safe space to share stories, enjoy refreshments, and breathe.
Caregiver Resources
Practical guides, community referrals, and one-on-one support connecting caregivers with the help they need across Bergen, Passaic, Essex, and Morris Counties.
